Sienna Says
• "I actually liked that film but maybe it was because I was falling in love (with Jude Law) and having a magical time making it."
• "The film was hard because the character is so complex and I wanted to do her justice and not be cliché about nuttiness. You want to keep a certain subtlety." • "The break-up scene I think we shot a Thursday, Friday and then had Saturday and Sunday off, and then again on a Monday and Tuesday, so this thing dragged on and on.For some reason, we did a lot of coverage, we wanted to get it from a lot of angles. And I just remember feeling crap for that weekend. I mean, it penetrates."
• "There is something seductive and the character, Alfie, is so charming, and does make you think like you are the most important thing in the world, but he’s not that nice, is he?"
• "We wanted to keep an element of the Sixties with my character and the styling of it. It was a big collaboration between the make-up and the wardrobe and Charles and me and we all discussed what kind of things we wanted and I kind of thought it would be great if she was this flamboyant girl. And he did mention Julie Christie and we did cut my fringe (that way)."
• "I think for Nikki there is this guy who is very handsome and they have an instant attraction. And then there is some outrageous flirting. I just think he is her match in a male form, she doesn’t mean to fall for him like she does and reveal everything she does. But then she genuinely believes it is going to work and that she doesn’t need to take her medication because here is this guy that will save her." [on Nikki's attraction to Alfie]
• "The thing that stood out for me most was the comedy and how incredibly English it was. It was a story I could really relate to because Alfie is so London. I was quite impressed that two Americans had written it and managed to pull it off."
• "It's got elements of absolutely every emotion in it, which is great."

Reviews
The Hollywood Reporter: "Nikki (Sienna Miller in a smashing debut) is his "Christmas miracle," arriving just when it looks like he must spend the holidays alone."
Haro-Online.com: "Shyer and Law are able to bring some emotion into the last parts of the film, where Alfie feels that he really needs to rethink many of the aspects of his life, but because this has happened many times before, it feels like too little, too late. "
EOpinions: "Several stars play Alfie's various love interests. Among these are: Marisa Tomei, Susan Sarandon, Sienna Miller, Nia Long, and Jane Krakowski. Each of these actors give solid performances as they provide very separate and distinct relationships with the title character."
TheMovieBoy.com: "The top-notch actresses surrounding him bring additional gravitas and support to their scenes, including Nia Long , Marisa Tomei, Susan Sarandon, Jane Krakowski, and stunning newcomer Sienna Miller."
Jam! Movies: "Sienna Miller is dynamite as the manic depressive whose own flaws make Alfie begin to examine his own."
Movies.about.com: "As for the women of “Alfie,” there’s definitely more onscreen heat between off-screen couple Law and Sienna Miller than with any of the other women he conquers."
CinemaBlend.com: "The women of today’s Alfie, played by the incredible quintet of Jane Krakowski, Marisa Tomei, Nia Long, Sienna Miller and Susan Sarandon play their roles flawlessly, in no way descending to any hint of stereotypes. Yet for its strength of acting, the updated Alfie still lacks some of the impact and heart of the original film, powerful traits that are sorely missed."
SPTimes.com: "Shyer also stages several effective sequences: a seductive billiards game, an emotional exit (shown with two perspectives) from an abortion clinic, and any scene featuring Sienna Miller, a drop-dead screen presence and now Law's real-life companion, as Alfie's dream girl turned nightmare. "
Rampway.org: "'Alfie', perhaps appropriately, is extremely stylized visually. Shyer fills the film with jump cutting, freeze frames, slow motion, montage, voice over, bright colors, and other visual tricks of a sort that are becoming more and more popular in today's films."
